Saint Katherine Drexel and Pope John XXIII Triptych
Saint Katherine Drexel
The icons of Blessed Pope John XXIII and Saint Katherine Drexel were painted as part of a triptych commissioned by a parish in Morristown, New Jersey as part of their centennial. The triptych hangs in the parish’s  original church–now a meditation chapel–which dates from 1804. The triptych's other two elements include Saint Katherine Drexel, and an icon of Our Lady. This Triptych was commissioned by Our lady of Mercy Church in Whippany, NJ as part of their centennial celebration.

Janine Manheim assembled a team of artists and crafts people to complete this cabinet to honor donors to Our Lady Queen of Martyrs in Centerport, NY. Janine helped to design the cabinet, and painted the icons on it. The cabinet was created by Ken Pritchard and installed by Gerhard Schmitt of Schmitt Sohn Inc. The cabinet houses a handmade book designed by Janine Manheim, holding lists of donors to the parish. The “Initial” pages were decorated by Janine Manheim using shell gold and ink and the names were calligraphed by Helen Murdock-Prep. Images of the pages were made available on the website of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs by Adrian Sinnott, and can be viewed here.
